Personal data which we process
UNI-week processes your personal data if you make use of our services and /or if you provide them to us voluntarily. Below you find an overview of the personal data we process:

  • First name and last name
  • Gender
  • Nationality
  • Date of birth
  • Email Address
  • Phone Number
  • Study/Study Phase
  • Emergency contact information
  • Any other information you voluntarily provided us with through correspondence with the UNIweek organisation trought EH-CID.

Exceptional and/or sensitive data which we process
The UNIweek Den Haag organisation processes the following exceptional and/or sensitive data that you might provide us with:

  • Dietary wishes and/or food allergies
  • Any disabilities that might influence participation in the UNIweek 2019 programme
  • Shirt size or shoe size (if activities organised by the UNIweek 2019 require these)

To which avail and on what basis do we process this personal data
The UNIweekl organization processes your personal data for the following reasons:

  • To complete your submission and process your registration to participate in the UNIweek days
  • To be able to inform you of changes in our services or changes to our programme
  • To send you information concerning UNIweek2019 or partners of the UNIweek Den Haag
  • To take your personal preferences into account during the UNIweek 2019
  • To be able to contact you if needed

Pictures and Video
During the UNIweek our media crew will be taking photos and videos of every event. By agreeing to this Privacy Statement you grant the UNIweek the right to use these images that might include your likeness for promotional purposes unless you specifically request in writing that we not use your photo in this manner by sending a request via email to  info@uniweek.nl


How long will we save your personal data?
UNIweek Den Haag saves your personal data no longer than strictly necessary and only to realize goals for which we hold this data indispensable. For the following personal data we maintain a retention period of three years:

  • First name and last name
  • Gender
  • Nationality
  • Date of Birth
  • Email Address
  • Phone Number
  • Study/Study Phase

This data is retained for EH-CID recruitment purposes, evaluation and statistical use with the purpose to optimize our services
The following information is only used for the duration of the UNIweek with a maximum retention period of one year:

  • Any other information you voluntarily provided us with through correspondence with the UNIweek organisation pertaining to the UNIweek2019

If you have objections against being included in the recruitment activities for future UNIweeks or the use of your data for anything other than the anonymous statistics, you can convey this to the UNIweek Den Haag organisation by emailing info@uniweek.nl


Sharing of your personal details with other parties
UNIweek Den Haag will only share your personal data with third parties if it is required to fulfill our services to you or to comply to any legal obligations. We have strict processing agreements with any third party that requires access to your personal data on our behalf, to ensure the same level of safety and privacy in the handling of your personal data. UNIweek Den Haag maintains responsible for the handling of your personal data.
View, edit or remove personal data
You have the right to view, edit or remove your personal data. Furthermore, you have the right to revoke your permission of the processing of your personal data or to object to the use of your personal data by the UNIweek Den Haag organisation and you have the right to data portability.
If you revoke your permission to the use of your personal data by the UNIweek Den Haag, this automatically means you will not be able to participate in the UNIweek2019.
You can send us a request to send you or another party, specified by you,  the personal data we have of you in a digital file. You can send a request to view, edit or remove your personal data, a request for data portability or a revocation of your permission or objection to the processing of your personal data to info@uniweek.nl
To confirm that the request for viewing was done by you, we ask that you consent by using the checkbox request.  We will send a response to your request as soon as possible, within 4 weeks at the latest. UNIweek Den Haag also wishes to inform you that it is possible to lodge a complaint with the National Data Protection Supervisor. You can do so here.


Important Note regarding data processing in connection with Google Analytics™

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited. If the responsible body for the data processing that occurs via this website has their basis outside of the European Economic area and Switzerland, then the associated Google Analytics data processing is carried out by Google LLC. Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC. will hereinafter be referred to as “Google”. As concerns the use of Google Analytics, the data processing in this respect is technically provided by Jimdo. In that regard, reference is hereby made to the Jimdo Privacy Policy. Jimdo GmbH (Jimdo GmbH, Stresemannstrasse 375, 22761 Hamburg, Datenschutz@jimdo.com) and the operator of this website share a joint responsibility for the data processing in connection with Google Analytics on this website.


Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files saved on the site visitor’s computer, to help the website analyze their use of the site. The information generated by the cookie (including the truncated ip address) about the use of the website will normally be transmitted to and stored by Google. 


Google Analytics is used exclusively with the extension "_anonymizeIp ()" on this website. This extension ensures an anonymization of the IP address by truncation and excludes a direct personal reference. Via this extension Google truncates the site visitor’s IP address within member states of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The IP address, that is provided by the site visitor’s browser in using Google Analytics will not be merged by Google with other data from Google. 


On behalf of Jimdo and the site operator, Google will use the information collected to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other website and internet related services to Jimdo and the site operator (Art. 6 (1)( f) GDPR). The legitimate interest in data processing lies in the optimization of this website, the analysis of the use of the website and the adaptation of the content, which is made possible by the provision of the Jimdo statistics function. The interests of the users are adequately protected by the pseudonymization of their data.


Google LLC has certified their compliance with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and thereby provides a guarantee to comply with European data protection law. The data sent and linked to the Google Analytics cookies, e.g. user IDs or advertising IDs will be automatically deleted after 50 months. The deletion of data whose retention period has been reached is carried out automatically, once a month.


The website visitor may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in their browser. They can also object to the future collection and storage of their ip address and the data generated by cookies, at any time via downloading this browser plugin and installing it: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
